Delete your ScrapChain account
1. How to delete your account
Open the ScrapChain app → Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. Confirm the request. You can also email help@scrapchain.in from your registered email or phone if you cannot access the app.
2. 7-day grace period
Deletion is scheduled 7 days after you confirm. During this period you can cancel by tapping Cancel deletion in Settings, or by signing in again to ScrapChain. After you cancel, you must request deletion again if you still want to leave.
3. What we delete
After the grace period we permanently remove personal data tied to your profile: name, phone, email, profile photo, business address details, GPS coordinates, device push tokens, and login credentials. Your account can no longer be used to sign in.
4. What we retain (anonymized)
Marketplace transaction facts (weights, prices, timestamps, scrap categories, and similar operational records) may be retained in anonymized form — without your name, phone, or email — when required for tax, audit, dispute resolution, or other legal obligations. We do not keep these records to market to you or to identify you.
5. Messages & inventory
Chat message content you sent may be cleared or marked deleted. Active inventory listings and related operational data owned solely by your account are removed or detached according to our database rules. Counterparties may still see that a past trade occurred with an anonymized party.
